The City of Plainview is seeking citizens to serve on 3 boards with appointment to be made at the November council meeting.
*Zoning Board: 1 position to serve through June 2028
*Advisory Board for Pool and Parks: 1 position to serve through December 2026.
*Housing Board: 1 position to serve through December 2029

Important Notice: Quarterly reports from NDEE show that nitrate levels collected in September are 10.1 mg/L. The City is no longer required to provide bottled water per the State, as the nitrate level is equivalent to the maximum level of 10 mg/L.
The Transfer Station and C&D will be open on Saturday, November 1st from 8:00-11:00 AM. Regular rates will apply. The City Office will be open during that time to accept payments.
Lincoln Avenue between Main Street and Pine Street (ballfields) and Pine Street from Lincoln Avenue to Harper Avenue are closed for paving.

PAYPORT ONLINE PAYMENT SYSTEM
The City of Plainview is now accepting online payments through Payport. Payment for utility bills from the City of Plainview can be paid online and over the counter. Forms of payment accepted are Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, e-Check, Debit Card with PIN Debit, Cash and Paper Check.
To access the online payment link, please go to the City of Plainview website (www.cityofplainviewne.com) Click on Services>Online Bill Payment.
Customers can also go to the following website to be directed to Payport. http://ne.gov/go/plainview
*You will be required to enter your account number located on your City of Plainview utility bill when using the online system. You will also enter the payment amount.
Our new Over-The-Counter device will be able to accept Credit/Debit Card (Swipe), PIN Debit, Apple and Android/Samsung Pay/Tap, and Chip Enabled cards.
Convenience fees will be charged as follows to the customer:
Electronic Check (Over the Counter and/or Online) $1.75
Credit Card (Over the Counter and/or Online) 2.49%
PIN Debit (Over the Counter) $2.95
There are no fees to use cash or paper check.
If you currently are setup to have your credit card processed and would like to continue with automatic payments, please contact the City Office to switch to an ACH payment. ACH Payments from a checking or savings account can be made at no charge. The ACH form can be accessed on the City of Plainview website under Government>Forms and Permits.
The City of Plainview will no longer hold credit cards on file for payments after March 31, 2025. Payments can be made via the methods listed above.

Utility rate increases for water and sewer were amended at the December 17, 2024 council meeting. Customers will see the new rates on their bills that are due February 15, 2025.
