Starting June 2, 2025 through September, Complete Pest Elimination will be spraying in the City of Plainview for mosquitoes on a weekly basis every Monday.
The spray and the chemicals used are safe and not particularly an issue. Contact the City Office at 582-4928 with any questions.
Take the precautions listed below to help alleviate mosquito breeding on your property.
Eliminate standing water in rain gutters, old tires, buckets, plastic covers, toys, or any other container where mosquitoes can breed.
Empty and change the water in bird baths, fountains, wading pools, rain barrels, and potted plant trays at least once a week to destroy potential mosquito habitats.
Drain or fill temporary pools of water with dirt.
Keep swimming pool water treated and circulating.
Mosquitoes love overgrown trees, brush, weeds and tall grass.
Keeping lawns tidy helps keep mosquitoes out.
